This is made by Ben Glover, previously winemaker of Wither Hills and Mud House, and Master of Wine, Liam Steevenson. It’s from the Awatere Valley, a Marlborough sub-region that’s cooler than the rest of the area. As a result, the wine is less overtly tropical. It’s a New Zealand Sauvignon with Loire sensibilities. Zingy. Crisp. Refreshing. Try its elegant peach, lemon sherbet and mineral hints with sea bass and asparagus.
